History
These Historic Southern Illinois Log Cabins date from 1820 through 1870 and have been dismantled from original sites in Southern Illinois, from the Ohio River to the Mississippi River, and reconstructed on our private ranch in beautiful Southern Illinois. In remembrance of the early history of Southern Illinois and its people this collection was named after the first log building in this area, the old 1819 Squat Church. The road you travel is part of the old Worthen trail, notched and marked by Scottish settler Robert Worthern in 1817.

Description
Of the Inn's 17 historic buildings, 5 cabins are completely remodeled for country comfort. Three are Family Cabins with large comfy main room with loft and fireplace, lots of beds, a shower bathroom and kitchen; supplied with linens, cooking supplies, TV/VCR, appliances and wrap around porch. Four Log Cabin Suites offer guests a large modern room with full size bed, shower bath, TV/VCR, coffee pot, quilts, towels and snacks and a large porch with swing. Country style breakfast is served at your choice of time. The large flower garden provides a delightful area for short walks and bird watching, as well as fresh herbs and vegetables. Hiking path through woods, and a fire pit, grill and picnic area are available for outdoor fun. Plenty of room for frisbee, volleyball, horseshoes or croquet.
